Resources
St. Maurice Parish has a wide variety of Christian and family resources for it's Parishioners' use, as well as information on how an individual or group might help advance our resource base.
Please take a while to review these resources to see how they impact the life of our Parish community.

Parish Festival
The St. Maurice Festival is held each June to enable the Parish family to come together and enjoy good times and good friends. Proceeds benefit the School.
Memorial Mass
Each November, the Parish celebrates a special Memorial Mass for those who have died within the past year. The families of the deceased are invited to the Mass and a reception.
PreCana Program (Marriage Preparation)
A group of married couples volunteer to help engaged couples prepare for marriage through the Pre-Cana Program. Attendance at the two-day program, held each Spring, is required for all couples planning a Catholic marriage ceremony. Contact the Parish Center.
Weddings (Sacrament of Marriage)
Once a couple has decided to marry, their first move is to confer with their Parish Priest. Either the bride or groom must be a member of St. Maurice Parish. In case of a marriage of mixed religion, the marriage should take place in the church of the Catholic party.
Couples must contact the Parish Center at least six (6) months prior to their wedding date. Having presented yourself to the Parish Priest for the purpose of marriage, we will now move to the practical steps which must be followed:
-
Date and Time
The date and hour of your marriage must be finalized in cooperation with the Parish Priest.
-
Program of Marriage Instructions
A program of marriage instructions must be agreed upon and followed.
Completing Important Forms
Church laws oblige us to certain marriage forms which must be completed. These forms have reference to, a person's baptism or non-baptism, freedom to marry, physical and mental capacity to enter into a marriage contract. In case of a mixed religion marriage, a dispensation must be sought from the Bishop.
